Crank-Up Docks
ALUMINUM CRANK-UP DOCKS
This takes only 1/2 hour to make ready for the season!
“…nothing could be easier…”
We fabricate our aluminum frame crank-up docks in-house in our own welding shop. This guarantees a quality project and allows us to meet the strict rules of the NH DES Wetlands Bureau. Our crank-up docks can be seen on most of the lakes in New Hampshire.
We can provide turn-key services, or you can take care of the dock yourself. These docks have been designed with your ease of use in mind. The docks are supported by 4×6 PT wood posts which are cross-braced underneath the dock for stability and strength. The posts stay on the frame when lifted such that no one needs to get wet during the install/removal process. These also create a “boat friendly” place to tie off too and provide a great place to mount bumpers.
The dock includes an “A” frame such that we do not require a large tree aligned with the dock for hoisting leverage. We can install a “dead-man” and winch post for easy hoisting.
Ready for winter...
These docks qualify as “seasonal” structures thereby providing for a streamlined permitting process. Many of these docks require little if any shoreline modification further streamlining the permit process.
We stock 6 ft x 40 ft docks and can quickly fabricate any size you may require in-house. We have samples at our stores in Gilford and Sunapee so stop by and see them firsthand…
These docks are incredibly rigid as they are hinged to a secure point on shore and cross braced under the deck. We can use existing boulders or pour a concrete hinge pad (above full lake level) and both methods are acceptable to NH DES. This makes for a very strong dock!
The winch mechanism can be attached to trees, boulders, or poured concrete “dead-men”. There is no limit to the creative solutions we have developed to provide a safe and secure anchoring system.
No trees? No problem! We can fabricate winch posts and dead-men as necessary.
All of our equipment is mobile and we can perform on all the lakes in New Hampshire.
