SB154 – While Senator Bradley’s bill to clarify and simplify the Shoreland Protection Act was essentially “killed” due to some last minute additions which involved the regional greenhouse gas initiative, the language was preserved by tagging it onto the budget. Gov. Lynch refused to sign the budget, but it passed by default. Therefore, the Shoreland Protection Act (now called the “Water Quality Shoreland Protection Act“) has a number of new standards and regulations designed to make things simpler and easier for waterfront home owners.
